A semi-industrial anti-rust gloss enamel paint, specially formulated with anti-corrosive properties, to resist the harsh tropical Caribbean weather. For exterior and interior use on metal and wood, where a premium quality coating with excellent gloss retention and durability are desired.
Berger RUSTPRO Premium Anti-Rust Gloss Enamel
APPLICATION: Brush, Roller, Spray.
COVERAGE: At 25 microns, approx.11 sq. metres per litre, 42 m 2 (400 sq ft) per gallon (3.8 litres) depending on the porosity and texture of the surface.
DRYING TIME: Touch dry 1-2 hours at ambient temperature. Hard dry- Approximately 3.5 hours dust free at 25° C. Recoat 4-6 hours.
DRY FILM THICKNESS: 25 - 40Microns per coat.
COLOUR RANGE: 10 Standard colours including black and white.
THINNING/CLEAN UP: Berger No. 2 Reducer.
SOLVENT RESISTANCE: Resistance to aliphatic hydrocarbons and alcohol is good. Polar solvents & chlorinated solvents are liable to attack the film.
TEMPERATURE LIMITATION: Up to 120°F FLASH POINT: 36.7° C, 98°F.
POT LIFE: Not applicable.
SURFACE PREPARATION: PREVIOUSLY PAINTED METAL – Surface must be clean and free from dirt and grease. Remove rust and scale from exposed metal by wire-brushing etc. Apply one coat of Berger RustPro Primer or Berger Zinc Chromate Yellow to exposed areas. Once completely dry, apply 1 to 2 top coats of Berger RustPro Enamel over the entire surface. NEW METAL – New metal must be clean and clear of any dust, grease, dirt or scale. Apply 1 coat of Berger RustPro Primer or Berger Zinc Chromate Yellow). Finish with 1 to 2 topcoats of Berger RustPro Enamel. BERGER RustPro Enamel. ALUMINIUM/GALVANIZED METAL – Clean surface with No.2 Reducer to remove any grease. Treat the surface with Berger Self Etch Primer. Apply Berger RustPro Primer followed by 1 to 2 coats of Berger RustPro Enamel. PREVIOUSLY PAINTED WOOD – Should be clean, dry and free from dirt. Sand where necessary. Apply 1 to 2 topcoats of Berger RustPro Enamel. NEW WOOD: Surface should be clean, dry and free from dirt. Seal all knots with Berger Knotting Varnish. The first coat on bare wood should be thinned by not more than 10% per 3.8 litres, with Berger #2 Reducer. For best results, apply one coat of Berger Wood Primer or Berger Undercoat, and apply 1 to 2 coats of Berger RustPro Enamel to a completely dry surface.
