Organizations of Our Parish!

Organizations are some of the means through which members excercise their ministry through the parish. In St. Patrick we have different organizations based on special interest groups, some of which have been organized for years. These include The Mother's Union of St. Paricks; The Mother's Union of St. Mary; The Anglican Church Women Association St. Patrick's Chapter; The Friendship Group of St. Mary; The Brotherhood of St. Andrew; The Youth Group of St. Patrick's and The Youth Group of St. Mary. All of these oraganizations have regularly scheduled times of meeting (view schedule HERE...) at which they disscuss matters of interest; plan participation in services and actvities and other ministries. Some of their main activities include; reading of the lessons, ushering, collecting offering, lay visitation, having special servies and fund raising activities.

The St. Patricks Mother's Union is part of the worldwide organization for women in the Anglican Communion which was started in 1876. Our branch was commisioned on March 27th 1954. The branch leader is  Mrs. Joan McQueen. The St. Mary's Mother's Union was commissioned on March 31st 1973, the branch leader is Mrs. Roslyn Thomas.

The Anglican Church Women Association (A.C.W.A.) has been recently formed with the objective to provide opportunities for women to serve in God's Church through worship, fellowship, study service and mission. This group is made up of members from both St. Patricks and St. Mary. The President is Ms. Judy-Ann Auld.

The St. Mary's Friendship Group was formed over 20 years ago with the aim to form a uniform body that will open channels through which; harmony and love will be expressed in church and community. The president is Mrs. Dorothy DeGill.

The Brotherhood of St. Andrew is an organization of men whose motto is: "sharing and caring through prayer, service and brotherly love" with the aim to promote friendship and fellowship among members and others. The President is Mr. George Philbert.

The Youth Group of St. Patrick's and The Youth Group of St. Mary's were until recently, operating as one group to serve the interest of youth in the parish and beyond. However due to the concerns of too many meeting/activities, coupled with the distance and cost of travel, it was decided , for more effective ministry, to have two seperate groups with scheduled meetings twice per month. The President of St. Patrick's Youth Group is Ms. Sasha Alexander and The President of St. Mary's Youth Group is Ms. Rea Burke.

All organizationns of the parish are inviting and encouraging the members of the parish to join and suport their ministries.
